Player to Watch – Tamas Koltai. The 24 year old has a superb season last year with Gyor and that form went rewarded with regular national team call-ups. The midfield man has bags of creativity and can play on the right or in the centre. Koltai is what makes Gyor tick and if he can have another great season, Gyor could be up there with the tile contenders come May.
Rising Star – Andras Simon. Simon has had a quite hard time of late, and the former Liverpool man will be looking to get his career back on track after leaving for Merseyside in 2007. Since then he’s only played 10 first team games, for Cordoba and later Excelisor. The 21 year old certainly has undoubted talent and bags of potential, he just needs to start living up to it – starting with this season.
Realistic Target – This Gyor team could really be going places. They have quality from front to back which is evidenced by the Hungarian national team who currently have two Gyor players in the squad (Koltai and Feher). They also have a great mix of experience and youth which could prove vital for a full season. If they get off to a quick start, there may be no looking back for ETO.
