Position Last Season – 8th
Coach – Zoltán Aczel
Title Odds – 125/1
Player to Watch – Peter Halmosi. The experienced winger was at the core of Hali’s survival last season joining in January when Haladás looked destined to go down. The ex-Hull City winger, put in performances reminiscent of yesteryear when he used to torment English defenders for fun, and that sort of skill in NBI is so unique. If Halmosi starts like a train again this season, Haladás could easily achieve a safe mid table spot, or even higher!
Rising Star – Istvan Kovacs. The young 19 year old hasn’t played much first team football at Hali as of yet, but he’s definitely one to look out for. The tricky winger can play on either wing and when on form can tear defenders inside out. His final ball isn’t quite there at the moment but with a bit of tuition he could be a big player for Hali not just this season but for the future too.
Realistic Target – With Adam Simon, their ticking clock, jetting off to Italy to play for Palermo, Hali could struggle this season, as it’s very hard to replace that sort of quality in NBI. However if Halmosi shows the same desire for his hometown club as he did at the end of last season, Hali should easily stay clear of the relegation zone, but if he doesn’t, Hali could be in deep, deep trouble.
League Prediction – 14th
